William A. Morris, 73, of Perryville, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at his residence.
He was born August 15, 1950 in St. Louis, MO to Wiliam Alexander Morris and Louise June (Nelson) Morris-Emmendorfer.
He and Sherry (Ochs) Morris were married August 2, 1968 at Laguna Beach, CA. She precedes him death.
William served in the United Sates Marine Corps. He was a three time Purple Heart recipient, and also received several other honor medals including expert marksman in long range shooting.
He worked as a Project Superintendent in the welding and construction industries. William enjoyed S.C.U.B.A. diving and was a master dive instructor. He also enjoyed boating and was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast.
Survivors include two daughters, Samatha Ticer of Sainte Genevieve, MO, Tonie (Manny) Reyna of Peoria, AZ; four sons, William “Colt” Morris of Perryville, William “Wade” Morris of Peoria, AZ, William “Alexander” Morris of WI, William “Drace” Morris of WI; Sister, Colleen (Ronnie) Keller of Ste. Genevieve, MO; sixteen grandchildren, Derrick, Chauntel, Brandon, William “Dustin”, Maranda, William “Dominic”, William “Tyson”, Abagayle, Nicole, MyraAnn, Rebecca, Dalton, Rachel, William “Devin”, LaRay, Shelley; twenty two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sherry Morris; step-father, Gregory Emmendorfer; sister, Loura Morris; great-granddaughter, Naomi Morris.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Military Honors performed at 7 pm by The United States Marine Corps Honors Team and V.F.W. #4282.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 pm Friday, December 15, 2023 at the VFW Post #4282 in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to Toys for Tots or Family Use.
