The St. Vincent High School Elks Student of the Month Award for January has been presented to Trenten Welker, son of Mindy and Todd Welker of Perryville.
Trenten serves as treasurer of the National Honor Society and is an Academic All-State athlete on the school’s baseball team. He spends many hours volunteering with Vincentian Marian Youth (VMY), including participation in Operation Overhaul and Luke 18, as well as assisting with numerous school and church events.
Trenten’s teachers said, “Trenten is an exceptional student who demonstrates responsibility and dependability in all that he does. He is always kind, mature, and respectful to everyone he meets, whether that be in the community, in classrooms, or on the baseball field. Trenten consistently completes his work on time and with great attention to detail. He is not only a gifted student, but he backs that up with hard work.”
Trenten plans to major in mechanical engineering at the University of Missouri - Science and Technology
