Two teens injured when car overturns in creek

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a one-car injury accident involving two juveniles that occurred at 6:06 p.m. April 15 at 1611 Perry County Road 501 in Perry County.

According to the patrol, a 16-year-old male juvenile from St. Mary was driving a southbound 2009 Toyota Camry on Perry County Road 501 that traveled off the right side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected, causing the car to travel off the left side of the roadway, where it overturned in a creek.

The driver and a 15-year-old female from Perryville, who were reportedly wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, were transported by Perry County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Perry, where they were treated for their injuries.

Perry County Towing removed the totaled car from the scene.
