The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to three injury accidents in recent days.
A Cape Girardeau woman was seriously injured in a one-vehicle wreck at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, on westbound Perry County Road 208, west of Route E.
According to the MSHP, the crash occurred when a westbound 2006 Ford F-350 driven by a 21-year-old Perryville man crossed the centerline, traveled off the left side of the roadway, went up an embankment, struck a tree and overturned.
Two passengers in the truck, both wearing seat belts, were injured. A 17-year-old juvenile was transported by Perry County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Perry, where she was treated for minor injuries. A 21-yearold Cape Girardeau woman was flown by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital South, where she was treated for serious injuries.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was not injured.
The vehicle was totaled and removed from the scene by Boyd’s Towing.
A second crash involving a semi-truck occurred at 12:50 p.m. Thursday, March 19, on Route KK, about 20 miles north of Jackson, resulting in injuries to a Perryville man.
The MSHP reported the crash occurred when an eastbound 2026 Western Star driven by a 57-year-old Perryville man traveled off the roadway, overcorrected, entered a field and overturned.
The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by EMS to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, where he was treated for minor injuries.
The semi-truck was totaled and removed from the scene by Twin City Towing.
The third crash occurred at 12:40 a.m. Sunday, March 22, on Interstate 55 at the 128-mile marker. According to the MSHP, a 34-year-old Maryland Heights man driving a northbound 2011 Chevrolet Equinox traveled off the left side of the roadway into the grass median, went down a ravine, crossed a creek and came to rest on the north side of the creek.
The driver was transported by Mercy Perry Ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center, where he was treated for serious injuries.
The vehicle sustained extensive damage and was removed from the scene by Boyd’s Towing.
