The St. Vincent boys will have a favorable path in their district tournament.
The Indians were voted as the top seed in the Class 2, District 4 tournament that will be hosted at Valley Caledonia that will begin on Feb. 20.
With the top seed, St. Vincent will have a bye into the semifinals in the seven-team tournament and will face the winner of (4) Crystal City and (5) Bismark on Feb. 22.
The Indians come into the district tournament and earned the top seed by a slim margin. At the time of the seeding, St. Vincent had a 12-10 record while Valley Caledonia also had a 12-10 record.

The third seed Brentwood is 12-11, while the two possible opponents for the Indians in the semifinal are Crystal City (8-15) and Bismarck (7-12). New Haven is 5-16 and Viburnum has yet to win a game this season (0-16).
The Indians defeated Crystal City 67-29 on Jan. 5, but do not play Bismarck this season.
After a slow start to the season, the Indians have turned on the jets in 2024, going 8-4 with wins over a 19-win Kelly team on Jan 25, and annual powers Advance and Oran, although both teams have struggled this season, compared to prior seasons.
The Indians have one more game this season when they travel to Meadow Heights on Thursday, then it’s time for the district tournament.
St. Vincent has won at least one district game in two of the last three seasons, including reaching the district title game last season before falling to Principia.
