Atlas Molded Products (AMP) of Perryville has selected Austin Sleyster, a 2025 St. Vincent High School graduate, as the recipient of this year’s AMP Scholarship.
Every year, AMP offers one $1,500 scholarship to seniors pursuing a career in CAD, manufacturing, engineering, industrial technology, construction or science. Only Perry County graduates are eligible to receive the scholarship.
The criteria necessary to be considered for the scholarship includes a grade point average above 3.0, attendance at an accredited two- or four-year college where they will pursue a degree related to engineering, manufacturing, industrial technology, construction, or science; active participation in their school and community; and show or demonstrate their ambition and positive motivation towards school by/through sports, club participation, arts, etc.
Additionally, those seeking the scholarship must fill out a form in which they list their current GPA after seven semesters, the college they plan to attend, provide a list of extracurricular activities (community, school and church) in which they have participated during high school, and write a description of their plans for college and their career.
