The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville will host several fall activities next week:
SATURDAY, OCT. 4: ROSARY FOR LIFE (9:30 A.M.) Participants should gather at the Welcome Center next to the Shrine Church. Weather permitting, the rosary will be prayed at the Miraculous Medal Moments Area; in case of inclement weather, it will move into the Shrine Church. Two guest speakers will follow with talks on the preservation of life.
SATURDAY, OCT. 4 BLESSING OF THE PETS (11 A.M.) The blessing will take place near the Visitor Center by the Miraculous Medal Moments Area. Afterward, visitors are encouraged to enjoy the Rosary Walk on the shrine grounds.
SUNDAY, OCT. 5 FALL OUTDOOR MASS (5 P.M.) Mass is scheduled at the historic grotto on the shrine grounds. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or quilts due to limited hillside seating.
