Perryville TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) hosted an area-wide Fun Day on Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Community Center. Six members of the local TOPS 547 chapter participated, along with five members from the Lonedell TOPS 1040 chapter.

The Fun Day was coordinated and led by TOPS area advocate Kyleen Wilson. The program opened with the TOPS pledge and a music video, “Winter Games,” by David Foster. Attendees also watched an inspirational talk by Ogie Shaw on the importance of physical fitness. Awards and prizes were then presented.

The Lonedell chapter received a certificate recognizing 30 years of service to its community, and the Perryville chapter received a certificate marking 50 years of service. Norma Cooley of Lonedell and Mark Sandler of Perryville were honored for reaching and maintaining their goal weights.

Everyone in attendance received a small trophy and certificate reflecting their number of years as TOPS members. Two trivia games were played with prizes awarded, and attendees enjoyed a shared luncheon before the meeting concluded.
