KANSAS CITY — Missouri Humanities (MH) has announced the five featured communities for the next season of its Small Town Showcase digital storytelling initiative, and Perryville is among the winners.

The five communities selected for the upcoming season are Perryville (Perry County), Savannah (Andrew County), Waynesville (Pulaski County), Neosho (Newton County) and Excelsior Springs (Clay and Ray counties).

Small Town Showcase is Missouri Humanities’ premier digital storytelling initiative. Through podcasts and short films, the program highlights the heritage and culture of Missouri’s small towns, sharing their unique stories of resilience, revitalization and resurgence.

This special season, titled “Show Me 250,” will feature stories that highlight Missouri’s contributions to 250 years of American history. Each community will work with Missouri Humanities’ production team to create a podcast episode and short film about its town.

The film's premiere on Missouri Humanities’ free streaming platform, Humanities TV, at www. h-tv.org. The podcast is available on all major platforms.
