Perryville boys win Oak Ridge meet

The Perryville boys cross country team continued its success this season at its latest meet.
Perryville finnished first and St. Vincent third at the Oak Ridge Invitational on Tuesday. Perryville finished with a team score of 47, while was nearly half of Oak Ridge’s 85.
Perryville recently won the St. Vincent Invitational earlier this year.
Bair Hopkins led the way with a second place finish with a time of 18:17.92 and Clayton Bauwens was third at 18:26.62. The Pirates had four runners inside the top 13 as Porter Johnson finished 10th and Marcas Smith finished 14th.
The St. Vincent boys finished third with 110 points and had equal success to Perryville at the front of the race.

The Indians had four runners inside the top 16 as Jackson Unterreiner finished fourth overall with a time of 18:33.17.
Carter Hennemann finished fifth at 18:38.80. Ethan Hotop was 12th at 19L22.32 and Braden Pech was 16th at 19:38.49.
On the girls side, Perryville finished third overall with a team score of 81 as Fredericktown won the race with a score of 50.
Gwyn Newbrough was the top Pirate runner as she finished 11th overall with a time of 25:14.79.
Olivia Iffert was 14th with a time of 25:25.24, while Makayla Iffert was 22nd with a time of 25:58.74.
Abagail Kirn was the top St. Vincent girl with a time of 24:42.73 and Reagan Meyer finished 32nd at 27:27.42.
