Pacific man injured in Perry County motorcycle crash

An elderly Pacific man sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash that happened at 12:25 p.m. Saturday, June 21, on Route J, west of Perry County Road 718 in Perry County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened when a 73-year-old man from Pacific riding an eastbound 2005 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle went off the right side of the road and hit the ground.

The driver, who was wearing a safety helmet at the time of the accident, was taken to St. Louis University Hospital by Arch Medical Helicopter, where he received treatment for his injuries.

The motorcycle, which sustained moderate damage, was removed from the scene by Ives Towing.
