Saxony girls 2nd, Perryville 4th

CAPE GIRARDEAU — Perryville and Saxony Lutheran competed in the Oak Ridge Cross Country Invitational on Sept. 22.

In a field of 13 schools, the Saxony Lutheran boys finished third and the girls finished second.

The runner up Lady Crusaders were led by a third place overall finish from Briley Meyer, who completed the 5,000-meter run in 22 minutes and 16.38 seconds.

Raylee Matthews was 12th at 24:16.59, Adalyn Brandhorst was 14th at 25:10.62, Eva Williamson was 15ht at 25:23.43, Muriel Brummel was 21st at 26:21.46, Olivia Petzoldt was 37th at 28:49.55, and Megan Birk was 41st at 30:41.58.

The Crusaders boys team was led by Evan Ward, who finished 9th overall with a time of 19:45.35., Brady Keys was eleventh at 19:53.06, Conrad Brandhorst was 19th at 20:07.03 , Jacob Schupp was 31st at 20:55.37, Samuel J Petzoldt was 44th at 21:25.01, Jackson Hager was 66th at 22:49.38, Charles Hillis was 69th at 22:53.32, Kade Schubert was 70th at 22:54.45, Silas Hohenadel was 73rd at 23:06.77, Samuel O Petzoldt was 88th at 24:35.19, Liam Kelley was 90th at 24:47.34, Jaegen Pickel was 96th at 25:38.41, Noah Meyr was 106th at 27:01.05, Aiden Rhodes was 108th at 27:06.37, Sawyer Goodman was 114th at 28:38.91, Elias Petzoldt was 115th at 29:27.16, Gabriel Oslund was 118th 31:57.33

The Perryville Lady Pirates finished fourth amongst the girls teams, the boys finished 9th.

The Lady Pirates were led by Lucy Blythe, who finished 20th overall with a time of 26:16.17. Anna Rehagen was 23rd at 26:43.52, Esveidy Antonio Garcia was 27th at 26:56.07, Addelynne Kirn was 28th 26:58.84, Grace Buchheit was 30th at 27:02.02.

The boys team was led by Easton Blechle, who finished seventh with a time of 19:34.28. Colton O’Keefe was 54th at 22:07.08, Aidan Unverferth was 63rd at 22:45.56, Jonathon Randolph was 74th at 23:09.38, Finley Moran was 78th at 23:29.24 Cale Austin was 79th at 23:41.27, Blake Maybearry was 82nd at 24:04.48, Adrian Ernst was 104th at 26:39.48, Landon O’Day was 109th at 28:16.47.
