St. Vincent High School senior Sybina Nations has been selected as the November Elks Student of the Month by Perryville Elks Lodge No. 2701.
She is the daughter of Pattany and Terry Nations of Perryville.
Nations is a strong leader among her peers, serving as a captain of the cross-country team and secretary of the Spanish Club. She is also active in Pep Club, Sodality, Marching Band, Concert Band, and soccer, contributing to a wide range of school programs.
Beyond campus, she has volunteered for several years with Vacation Bible School, giving back to the community and younger students.
St. Vincent staff praised Nations for her character, academic drive, and presence on campus, writing, “Sybina is such an excellent student. She is always eager to learn and push forward. Sybina is humble, kind, and always has a smile on her face. She is a hard worker, respectful and considerate to staff, students, and everyone she meets. Sybina clearly exemplifies the five Vincentian virtues.”
After graduation, Nations plans to attend Mineral Area College, where she will pursue a degree in construction and building technology.
