A Marquand man sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle accident that occurred at 5:39 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, on Route K at PCR 616 in Perry County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a 32-year-old Marquand man, riding a southbound 2024 Harley-Davidson Softail Standard on Route K, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a sign.
The man, reportedly wearing a helmet during the crash, was transported by private conveyance to Mercy Hospital Perry, where he received treatment for his injuries. The motorcycle, which had sustained extensive damage, was removed from the scene by private tow.
