Martin E. Heberlie, 91, of Perryville, peacefully passed away Friday, November 24, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at his residence.
He was born November 12, 1932 in Ste. Genevieve, MO to Hershel M. and Mary (Harter) Heberlie.
Martin and Patricia (Martin) Heberlie were married June 28, 1952 and blessed with 65 years of marriage. She preceded him in death on March 11, 2018.
Martin served as a Corporal in the United States Army, from 1953-1955.
He was Baptised in the Catholic Faith.
Martin retired after 44 years as a quarry worker at Mississippi Lime Kiln in Ste. Genevieve, MO.

Martin was a member of the American Legion Post 133 in Perryville and the V.F.W. Post 2210 in Ste. Genevieve. Martin enjoyed sitting in his yard and waving to his many friends that honked as they passed by his home. Martin loved his grandchildren.
Survivors include his 3 daughters and 4 sons, Brenda (Richard) Brueggemann of Chester, IL, Mike (Sandra) Heberlie of Perryville, MO, Edward Heberlie of Fredericktown, Sheryl (Fiance Darrell Curry) Heberlie of Perryville, Marvin Heberlie of Perryville, Madonna (Jim) Abernathy of Perryville, Karl (Vickie) Heberlie of Perryville; 4 sisters and 2 brothers, Edna Nanny of Desoto, MO, Mary Heberlie of St. Louis, MO, Wilfred “Willie” Heberlie of Bonne Terre, MO, Monica Brewer of Festus, MO, Louis “Butch” (Friend Shirley Webb) Heberlie of Perryville, Delores Krause of Festus, MO; fifteen grandchilden; twenty-three great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Norman Heberlie; Grandson, Eugene Heberlie; and Three Brothers, Marcellis Heberlie, Gilbert Heberlie, Francis “Hank” Heberlie.
Visitation was Tuesday, November 28, 2023 and Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Services were Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Rev. Don Estes and Brother Vernon Chotrow co-officiating.
Graveside Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 133 and Delta Team. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
