Man, woman injured in weekend UTV wreck

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to an accident with serious injuries in Perry County on Saturday, June 13.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:39 p.m. Saturday on Route C, south of Perry County Road 358, when a 2020 Polaris Ranger headed northbound slid and crossed the center of the highway, overturning on the left side of the roadway.

The driver and passenger, both of Old Appleton,  were each ejected from the vehicle.

The passenger, a female aged 26, was taken to Mercy Hospital Perry in Perryville by ambulance and treated for moderate injuries.

The driver, a male aged 28, was airlifted by AirEvac to Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau and treated for serious injuries.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Boyd’s Towing.
