Joseph “Joe” Richardet of Shell Knob, Missouri was born September 30, 1939, in Perryville, Missouri to John and Elsie (Zahner) Richardet. Joe passed away on September 17, 2026, in Shell Knob at the age of 86.
Joe lived his faith through service. At Holy Family Catholic Church, he was active in the Parish Men’s Club, served as Grand Knight of the Holy Family Knights of Columbus and was a member of the local VFW Post 2203. He lent his hands and his heart to many other church groups, always showing up when his parish family needed him.
Joe served his country in the US Air Force for 21 years retiring as a Master Seargent. He then went on to work for Flight Safety International teaching pilots and mechanics.
Joe is survived by his wife Mary Richardet of 65 years; children Brian Richardet and wife Poonam, Angela Bauer and husband John; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister-in-law Carolyn Lewis; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Elsie Richardet; grandson Tyler Bauer; siblings Mildred, Catherine, Lindola, Stella, Velda, Ruby, Evelyn, Elbert, Elmer, Harold, Edward and brother-in-law Bob Lewis.
Visitation and Rosary will be 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Shell Knob, Missouri.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev Bill Hodgson officiating. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, Operation Smile, or Tunnel to Towers.
