Indians finish fifth, Lady Indians seventh

STE. GENEVIEVE — The St. Vincent boys track team turned in 66 points to finish fifth at the Old Settlement Invitational on April 28, and the girls team finished seventh with 63.

Bonne Terre North County won the boys meet with 146 points over 19 events, while Cape Girardeau’s Notre Dame squad won the girls side with 146.

Clayton Gremaud had the Indians’ only first-place finish, breaking the tape in the 400 with a time of 52.72 seconds, while teammate James Unterreiner was third in 54.48; Jackson Seabaugh was second in the 100 in 11.43; and Carter Hennemann was second in the 800 at 2 minutes, 2.9 seconds.

Kale Meyer was third in the in the 200 (23.63) and fifth in the 100 (11.7); Ethan Hotop was third in the 3,200 at 11:52.7; Mason Naeger was fourth in the high jump (1.73 meters), ahead of Kellan Pitts, who was sixth (1.62); Luke Ryan was seventh in the 1,600 (5:19.8); Bo Burgin was eighth in the 200 (25.25); and Kellan Pitts was eighth in the long jump (5.26) and ninth in the triple jump (11.0).

The boys 800 relay was fifth (1:35.5) and the 3,200 relay was sixth (9:34.5). For the Lady Indians, Reagan Meyer was first in the 1,600 (5:18.8), ahead of ninth-place Anna Welker (6:30.9), and second in the 400 with a time of 1:00.0, ahead of Brynn Renner was eighth (1:06.6); and Welker was second in the 3,200 (14:05.8), just ahead of Kirn, who was third (14:09.9).

In other events, Brigid Sauer was sixth in the triple jump (9.74 meters), seventh in the 100 hurdles (18.52), and ninth in the long jump (4.29); Reese Zoellner was sixth in the pole vault (2.29); Jenna Unterreiner was eighth in the javelin (29.51); Renner was 10th in the 200 (29.29); and Audrey Amschler was 10th in the 800 (2:50.0).

St. Vincent’s 3,200 relay was second (10:51.6), the 800 relay was third (1:56.7); the 3,200 relay was fourth (4:29.0), and the 400 relay was seventh (56.87).

Tiger Town Invitational

FESTUS — Perryville freshman was third in the long jump, clearing 6.2 meters, while teammate Ben Huber, a junior, was third in the discus at 46.21 to lead the Pirates at the 2025 Tiger Town Invitational in Festus on April 25.

Sophomore Dezmen Hampson was fifth in the high jump, clearing 1.72 meters.

For the Lady Pirates, Ellie Gerler turned in a sixth-place finish in the discus with a throw of 31.18 meters, and Anabelle Del Rosario was 10th in the pole vault, clearing 2.3 meters.
