The Perryville Police Department, with a little help from a farmer on the scene, captured an escaped chicken that had successfully fl own the coop in a desperate act that apparently resulted from her fellow hens egging her on to make a break. According to Sgt. Jeri Cain, once a local farmer gave chase, it wasn’t long until the police had the hen back under their wing. Cain said the recalcitrant chicken has been temporarily placed in a foster home until the owner reclaims her or someone else decides to adopt the chicken as their very own.
