Representing Elite Travel at the special event were Shannon Thompson and Carly Sisson, who joined airport officials, community leaders, tourism partners, and passengers for the ribbon-cutting ceremony commemorating the new Gulf Coast route.
The inaugural flight was honored with a ceremonial water cannon salute before departure, creating an exciting and memorable sendoff for travelers headed from Cape Girardeau to the Florida coast.
“From Cape to the coast, nonstop service to Pensacola is officially here,” was the theme of the celebration as attendees gathered to recognize the importance of expanded travel opportunities for the Southeast Missouri region.
