The Perryville Area Chamber of Commerce announced Thursday, March 21, that longtime employee Renee Lottes had been appointed as interim director following the departure of former director Kiley Eiland, which was announced by the Chamber in an email March 15.

“We appreciate [Eiland's] contributions during her time with us and wish her all the best in her future endeavors,” the March 15 email read. “While we transition to new leadership, rest assured that our commitment to serving our members remains steadfast. We will keep you updated on any developments and assure you that our operations will continue smoothly during this period. Thank you for your understanding and continued support."

Eiland started as the Executive Director of the Chamber in May 2022 and as a Perryville native, had plans to see Perryville thrive.

“I am very passionate about using my talents and abilities to better my community in an impactful way.”

At the start of her new role, Eiland was optimistic and excited for several reasons.

“I’m excited to build new relationships and grow existing ones,” Eiland said. “I’m excited to work with Renee Lottes, the Chamber Board of Directors and to meet with members and businesses, to learn from them and to collaborate with them. I look forward to planning community events and brainstorming new ideas.”
