Residents with business at the Perry County Administration Building may want to plan ahead this week, as county offices will be closed for several days in observance of the Christmas holiday.
According to the Perry County Commission, county administrative offices will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Friday, Dec. 26, aligning with holiday schedules observed by state and federal offices.
While the break gives county employees time to celebrate the season with family and friends, officials emphasized that property tax deadlines remain unchanged. Property taxes are still due by Dec. 31, and the Perry County Collector’s Office has several convenient options in place to help taxpayers meet the deadline — even while the office itself is closed.
Tax payments may be mailed to the Collector’s Office at 321 N. Main St., Suite 4, Perryville. Payments must be officially postmarked by 5 p.m. on Dec. 31 to be considered timely, and receipts will be mailed once payments are processed.
For those who prefer to drop payments off in person, two secure, 24-hour night deposit boxes are available on the north and south sides of the Perry County Administration Building.
Online payments are also accepted through the county’s website at perrycountymo. us under the Collector’s tab. Convenience fees apply to online transactions.
In addition, taxpayers may pay by credit or debit card by phone by calling 1-877-690-3729 and using Jurisdiction Code 3502. Receipts for phone and online payments will be mailed after processing.
In a holiday message to the community, the Perry County Commission thanked residents for their cooperation throughout the year and extended well wishes for the season.
“We are grateful for our community and wish everyone a safe, happy, and blessed holiday season,” the commission said.
