Calvin W. Bey, 85, of Perryville, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Independence Care Center of Perry County.
He was born January 19, 1938 in Perryville, to Glennon Bey and Evelyn (Meister) Bey.
He and Dorothy (Wells) Bey were married on February 1, 1958. She precedes him in death.
Calvin served in the United States Marine Corps.
He was self employed in the HVAC/Insulation Industry.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Calvin enjoyed spending time with family and friends, enjoyed wildlife, and watching football and baseball. He was a hard worker, an excellent handyman that was always willing to help family and friends.
Survivors include six sons, Dennis (Mary) Bey of Friedheim, MO, Doug (Cindi) Bey of Medford, OR, Dave (Sheryl) Bey of Charleston, SC, Joe (Barbara) Bey of Prosper, TX, Kim (Cheryl) Bey of Festus, MO, Kurt (Jody) Bey of O’Fallon, MO; daughter, Julie (Anthony) Anschultz of Perryville, MO; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, brother, Glennon; four sisters, Lorraine, Carol, Lucille, Peggy; grandson, Justin Bey; and his beloved dog Macy.
Visitation was Monday, December 4, 2023 at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Memorial Service was Monday, December 4, 2023 at Ford and Young Funeral with Deacon John Darin officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Heart Association or Alzheimer’s Association.
