The 2025 Brazeau Old Fashioned Christmas Walk was full of music, memories, smiles, and laughs on Dec. 6, as young and old visitors enjoyed s’mores and hot chocolate by the fire pit, writing letters to be mailed to Santa, reminiscing through the Brazeau Museum, and experiencing the live Nativity. There was live music inside the historic Brazeau Presbyterian Church, a craft show that filled the church hall, and holiday tunes pumped throughout the town, lined with hundreds of candle luminaries glowing as the sun went down. Carrie’s Tea House served delicious treats and sandwiches, and Hemman Winery toasted family and friends meeting throughout the evening. This small-town holiday tradition has been going on for more than 25 years. “Last year, we documented 1,200 people attended the Brazeau Christmas Walk, and this year seemed just as active and lively,” said Perry County Heritage Tourism director Trish Erzfeld. “It is a wonderful holiday event that highlights a beautiful small town and focuses on Old Fashioned Christmas traditions.”
