The 2025-2026 Official State Highway Map will be available for free starting Thursday, Aug. 7.

You can find printed copies at the Highway Gardens Expo Center during the Missouri State Fair being held Aug. 7-17 in Sedalia. MoDOT Director Ed Hassinger emphasizes the importance of having a current map in vehicles for times when cell service or GPS may not be accessible.

The map not only provides practical information but also aims to inspire a sense of adventure and appreciation for Missouri’s offerings.

For those interested, maps can be requested through local MoDOT district offices or by calling 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275- 6636).

An online request can also be made at modot.org/ official-state-highway-map, where downloadable file versions are available. The map features an aerial photo of Missouri Route 79 and includes a welcome letter from Governor Mike Kehoe, encouraging exploration of the state.

Additional features include population statistics from the 2020 U.S. Census Bureau, lists of state parks and historic sites, and detailed insets showing metro areas, trail markers, rest areas, bike routes, and more.

The front of the map showcases over 4,000 highway shields and 2,000 towns, linked by extensive highway and railroad networks, as well as locations of public-use airports and ports. Data sources include MoDOT and various federal organizations.
