SV, Saxony track move athletes to sectionals

The St. Vincent and Saxony Lutheran track and field team showed up and performed quite well at the district meet.
The girls team finished third and the boys sixth at the Class 2, District 1 meet on Saturday in Scott City.
There were plenty of school records broken throughout the day that included Jacob Schremp, who (153-9.0) broke his own school record in Javelin and won the Class 2 title in the event. He also placed second in discus (136-11.0) and will be moving on to sectionals in both events.
Reagan Meyer won the 1600 (5:26.30), 400m dash (59.67 seconds), and 800m run (2:22.50), beating her own school records in the 1600 and 800. Reagan is the Class 2 district champion in all three of these events.
The girls 4x400 (Paige Leible, Payton Unterreiner, Jenna Unterreiner, and Reagan Meyer) beat their own school record with a time of 4:24.68 and placed third moving them on to sectionals.
Sophia Taylor placed second in triple jump while also breaking her own school regard again in the event. (32-1.,0)
There was also a school record broken on the boys side as the 4x400 (James Unterreiner, Jackson Unterreiner, Carter Hennemann, and Clayton Gremaud) broke the school record in the event with a time of 3:35.20 and placed second in the event.
Other qualifiers for the sectional meet were:
Claire Otte placed third in shot put (32-1.75) and javelin (100-4.25) and is moving on in both events.
Leible is also moving on in the 100m dash where she placed fourth.(14.01 seconds)
Payton Unterreiner placed fourth in the 400m dash and is moving on to sectionals. (1:08.42).
Reese Zoellner is moving on in pole vault as she placed second in the event. (7-10.50).
The boys 4x800 (Jackson Unterreiner, Braden Pech, Ethan Hotop, and Carter Hennemann) qualified for sectionals by placing 4th. (8:40.11)
Clayton Gremaud qualified for sectionals in the 400m by placing second (51.90)

Carter Hennemann qualified in the 1600 and 800 placing 3rd in the 1600 (4:47.62) and 4th in the 800 (2:10.74)
Jackson Unterreiner qualified for sectionals by placing 4th in the 1600. (4:52.82)

The Crusaders will also send athletes to the Class 2 Sectionals
Johnathan Hartmann came in first in the High Jump with a height of 6-4.75
Casey Call finished first in the pole vault with a height of 10-2.50 and finished third in the high jump at 4-7.0
Abigail Haley was second in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.20 seconds, and finished third in the 300 meter hurdles (51.42)
Mark Richey finished third in the 3,200 meter run with a time of 11:19.84.
Joseph Zoellner came in third in the discus with a throw of 131-8.75.
The girls 4x100 relay team finished third at 52.16 seconds.
The girls 4x200 meter relay team finished third at 1:53.04. The 4x400 meter relay team finished second at 4:23.13 seconds.
Raylee Matthews finished second in the long jump at 16-1.
Rebecca Yunck finished second in the javelin with a throw of 108-2.75
