Thomas J. Rowland , 74, of Perryville died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021 at his residence. He was born Jan. 12, 1947 in The Bronx, N.Y. to Michael and Mary Ellen (Sheerin) Rowland.
He and Ronda Blessing were married Aug. 10, 1974 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. He received a Master’s Degree in History and was a Social Studies teacher at Perryville High School. He was a member of Christ The Savior Catholic Church in Brewer, The Knights of Columbus and an American Legion Booster.
Survivors include his wife, four sons, Matthew (Amy) Rowland of Perryville, Jeremy (Nikki) Rowland of Jackson, Nathan (Layne) Rowland of Cape Girardeau, Nicholas (Kate) Rowland of Maplewood; sister, Michele Comer of New Jersey; four granddaughters, Leah, Kate, Taylor and Alex Rowland; four grandsons, Colin, Oakland, Charlie and Brooks Rowland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Chalmer Blessing; sister-in-law, Lauren Blessing; and brother-in-Law, Andy Comer.
