Storm damage, possibly from tornadoes, reported by Sheriff's Office

As the storms passed through Perry County this afternoon, the Perry County Sheriff's Office received reports of storm damage, possibly from tornadoes, in two different areas of the county.  No injuries were reported, but building damage was reported on PCR 806, near the path of the last tornado that hit Perryville, and also near Missouri State Highways C and E in Perry County where a barn was damaged, certain farm equipment was strewn across a field and an electric pole was snapped off.
 
"We haven't been able to confirm a tornado in either location as yet, and Emergency Management personnel are in contact with the National Weather Service at this time," the Sheriff's Department said in a press release.
 
At about 2 p.m., a tornado watch until 8 p.m. was announced Saturday, April 30.
 
At approximately 5 p.m., a tornado warning for northwestern Perry County until 5:45 p.m.

 
The National Weather Service in Paducah posted the following statement as the storm system was moving through:
[5:02 PM 4/30] Strong rotation on radar in west central Perry County, MO. Brewer, Sereno, Lithium, and McBride are in the path! This storm will stay just north of Perryville. Take shelter now!
 
Five minutes later, NWS Paducah provided an update: [5:07 PM 4/30] Trained spotter reports a funnel cloud a few miles north of Perryville in Perry County, MO. Take shelter now!
