The Perry CountyBoard of Public Health made quick work of its agenda during its meeting on June 21 at the Catalyst Center for Business. The board ran through many of its financial reports without much trouble before Director Liz House gave a few health updates.
She noted that Perry County is still classified as a “low risk” county.
“Based on our sewer shed, our COVID-19 numbers were going up,” House said. “According to the state’s dashboard we are still considered low. It’s a little higher than we may want it, but still not enough to change our levels with the state.”
House noted that some northern counties are either at medium or high risk, compared to Perry County.
“St. Louis City and county are at high risk and every county that touches St. Louis is at a medium risk right now,” House said. “Most of the counties south of us are still at a low risk as well.”
