Lois Marie Bergman, 92, of Perryville passed away Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021 at Independence Care Center in Perryville.
She was born March 30, 1929 in Belleville, Ill. to Frank and Mary (Krause) Benedict.
She and Frank “Bill” Bergman were married May 6, 1950 at Belleville, Ill.
She was a homemaker and worked as a typesetter for the Republic-Monitor for many years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville and a volunteer for the Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Bergman of Perryville, David Bergman of Phenix City, Ala.; daughter, Teresa Schnurbusch of Sparta, Ill.; Step-Brother, Paul Geppert; Step-Sister, Mary Waite; Six grandchildren, Jennifer, John, Angela, Ashley, Chelsea, and Aja, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Jeremy.
Visitation was Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Service was Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Fr. Ben Melaku C.M. officiating. Burial was at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
