A celebration of life will be held June 12 for 78-year-old Judy Sexauer who died Monday, May 16, 2022 at her home in Ste. Genevieve.
She was born on June 24, 1943 in Red Bud, Ill. to the late Paul and Viola Hart Gibbar. She was married to David Sexauer on June 12, 1965, who survives in Ste. Genevieve.
She is also survived by two children, Kelly (Ron Bieser) Sexauer of Ste. Genevieve and Michael (Cori Wright) Sexauer of DeSoto.
Grandchildren surviving are Jessica Sexauer of Miami, Fla.; Justin (Kylee) Sexauer of Waterloo, Ill.; Anna Sexauer of Salem; and Travis Roth of DeSoto; three great-grandchildren survive, Chase, Capri and Valli Sexauer.
She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Michael (Mary) Gibbar of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Jean (Gerald) Moore of Perryville; Kenneth (Judy) Gibbar of Perryville; David (Elizabeth) Gibbar of Glendale, Calif.; Rick (Connie Corse) of Perryville; and Cindy Gibbar of Cape Girardeau.
A sister-in-law, Judy Sexauer Markham, survives in Lake St. Louis.

Judy was preceded in death by a brother Paul Gary Gibbar; and a brother-in-law Ray Markham.
Judy owned and operated a custom frame shop, Galleria Ste. Gen, for 30 years, and was an accomplished artist herself.
She was a member of the Ste. Genevieve Eagles 4336 Ladies Auxiliary and the Ste. Genevieve Art Guild.
Judy’s most enjoyment came with spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends, especially her Perryville High School 1961 classmates. She was an avid golfer and loved fishing.
There will be a celebration of life on June 12, 2022 at the Eagles Lodge on Highway 61 south in Ste. Genevieve from 2-6 p.m.
Memorials can be made to the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary of Ste. Genevieve or a charity of choice.
