The Perry County Heritage Tourism Art Committee plans to install new sculptures as part of the Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit in Perryville later this week.
Starting Friday, April 29, at 8 p.m. the new sculptures will be unveiled and installed in various places in town. Five new sculptures will be part of the exhibit.
In addition, there will be a celebration of the installation, that evening, at the Sculpture Artist reception.
The Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit began in 2021 and is juried by the Perry County Heritage Tourism Art Committee. The exhibition aims to create places of interaction and uniqueness. It features stunning works of art created by artists from across North America.

The 2022 artists and their sculptures include: “Long Distance” created by Nathan Pierce, “Ark” created by Andrew Arvantes, “Mind Started Rambling” by Dylan Collins, “Offset Jump” by Matt Moyer and “Jaque” by Brigit Ciskowsi.
In offering this public art exhibit, the committee hopes to continue increasing art awareness. In addition, they hope it brings energy to some of the town’s public spaces and inspires the community. This year’s artwork will be on display until the spring of 2023.
Perry County Heritage Tourism invites the community to join in the celebration of the installation at the 2022 Sculpture Artist Reception taking place Friday, April 29 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the event room at the Catalyst Center for Business.
The reception will include a brief presentation, light refreshments, and a chance to meet the 2022 artists. The Catalyst Center is located at 508 North Main Street in Perryville.
The Perryville Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition is made possible through partnerships with the City of Perryville, Perry County Heritage Tourism, Brewer Monument Company and Main Street Signs.
