Perryville Higher Education Center to host college informational night

Posted

A college informational night will be held at the Mineral Area College (MAC) Perryville Higher Education Center on Wednesday, May 15, at 5:30 pm.  The Center is located at 108 South Progress Drive in Perryville.
Interested high school students, their families, community members, and anyone who would like to learn more about college are welcome to attend. Topics covered will include how to apply, degrees and certificate programs available, dual credit and dual enrollment options, class offerings, placement tests, financial aid, A+ benefits, scholarships, and more.
Michelle Hadler, the center’s director, along with other MAC representatives, will be on hand to present, answer questions, enroll students, and assist new students with the admissions process.

“The transition to college can often seem overwhelming,” said Hadler. “We want to help simplify the process for our students and their families. The information night will be a great opportunity to learn more about how to get started and to have questions answered so students can feel confident as they begin college.”
The MAC Perryville Higher Education Center offers general education classes required for an associate degree; online classes are also available.
The summer semester begins on June 3, and the fall semester begins on August 19. It is not too late to apply and enroll in classes for the summer and fall semesters.  Learn more and apply online at www.MineralArea.edu.
